TAKE A BREATH OF AIR

Written by an Italian woman.

“Eat Pray Love” the movie by Ryan Murphy, starring Julia Roberts in the role of Elizabeth Gilbert, tells of a woman on a journey in search of happiness.

For some reason her journey has always had the power to inspire me and although mine took me towards different destinations I recognized, just like her, the almost "sacred" duty to stop, to take a break.

Nowadays the word "stop", in any language in the world, seems to have a negative connotation, since everything seems that it should move and grow quickly.

Being “surpassed” is perceived as a huge risk – how is it possible? - and therefore we continue to live overwhelmed by working and personal events without even having time to metabolize them.

Some experts claim that taking a breath of fresh air can sometimes have more effect than a coffee; I simply think it can save us from an ugly day or sometimes from a bad period.

What is right for me? What should make me happy? What would I like to do now? Sometimes the answers are so simple, but we rarely manage to take a moment to answer them.

I recently realized that my journey can only last a second and that I can find my peace even in a single breath, if and only if I find the courage to do so.

My breath of air, my "dolce far niente" has become a cult of a few minutes in all my days and I hope it can become yours too, without feel guilty!
